About Us > A Training Practice
Dr Laura Bennett 2nd Feb 2010
I really enjoyed my rotation at Park Leys for a variety of reasons. One of the biggest factors was how friendly and supportive all the staff were. I was made to feel welcome and very much part of the team.
I was encouraged to set goals for my learning needs for the rotation and progress with them at my own pace. I had regular reviews with my trainer where I was able to discuss any concerns and do assessments.
I found the allocation of appointments via the triage system enabled me to follow up patients that I had previously seen - providing good continuity of care. I was definitely exposed to a wider range of acute conditions, which has helped improve my clinical skills. I felt well supported during surgeries, as there was always a GP partner present whom I could seek advice from.
I would definitely recommend Park Leys as a rotation for any trainee.

Dear All
I just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to you for all the support, education and laughter you have given me over the past 4 months.
My experience at Park Leys has been throughly unique, I've never felt so inspired to want to do extra work to be a better doctor! It's quite a shock;-)
Best of luck for the future of the practice with all the new staff, nurses, receptionists etc and if I do happen to stay in the West Mids I will most definitely be knocking at your door in the future (so keep your fingers crossed I get into Cambridge!)...
Thank you for making me feel so welcome, I hope to see you all at the Christmas meal on the 11th:)
Best,
Anna
