Dr R Swallow MA MB BChir
I was born in Sheffield and lived there until I went to university, initially Trinity College Cambridge and then Kings College Hospital in London.
I moved to Fillongley when I joined this Practice in 1975.
I developed special interests in diabetes and in improving medical services and I was on committees in Warwick and then in Coventry, becoming a joint chairman of the Coventry Primary Care Trust’s professional executive committee and a Board member.
I retired from full-time medicine in 2006 and now work 2 sessions a week.
I have 2 daughters who are in their mid 30s. After my first wife died I remarried in 2008.
Outside medicine, my hobby is ringing church bells, at Fillongley and on visits to other churches, and I enjoy watching many sports particularly football and cricket.
